THE NEW FF

Had to share this.... I love me some MIKE ALLRED, but I don't think I can drink the kool-aid with this one....

FF is being relaunched under the new Marvel NOW relaunch... via Newarama:

"The Future Foundation team will be lead by Ant-Man, with She-Hulk (Jen type), Medusa the queen of the Inhumans, and Miss Thing, a new human character wearing a Thing suit backing him up."

So there ya go.

If anyone does pick it up in November, let me know what you think!

It's strange I know, but the red haired one reminds me of the mom in the Incredibles movie. I don't know why, I don't think she had long hair, was it even red? Oh well!

Want to know what I think? I hate Mike Allred. I think this new FF stinks. I guess I just hate his art. It looks SO artsy fartsy.

I like Allred's MADMAN stuff. His style fits the book. Here, not so much.

you should read the interview with Matt Fraction about who exactly is the woman in the "Ms. Thing" costume. Your head might explode.

I plan to get the first issue solely because it's Fraction writing and it's Allred on art. I don't think his art really first this book, but it sounds like an interesting read.

oh lord...

I don't think this book is for me.

i LOVE me some sexy, green She-Hulk, but i'm personally a liiiiiiiittle the opposite of "overwhelmed" at it all.

It's a sad day when the WORST part about a character that is just a woman in a Thing costume (sans Thing mask/head) is her name. Miss Thing?!?! Are you serious?!?!?

And shouldn't she have big rock boobies? I'd be okay with that.

Anyways, didn't Ben himself once wear a Thing costume when he lost his power/reverted back to a human?

From the Newsarama article:
Scott Lang was chosen by Richards due to his scientific acumen and the recent loss of his daughter Cassie. Medusa was chosen by Sue because of her family sense while also being a hero linked to the team. She-Hulk is a former member, and was Ben's pick. As for Miss Thing, Johnny's pick was the girl he was with the night before leaving on the trip. "She's the regular person, she's the human, she's the overwhelmed 'Whaaa?' of it all," said Fraction.

LMAO, that sure does sounds like Johnny.

Has a single person here read Milligan/Allred's X-Force or X-staticks? If not then GO DO THAT NOW.

Honest, this is the first Marvel NOW Book I've been remotely interested in. Allred brings a refreshing quirk to all of his stuff, AND this book has Shulkie back on the FF?! WHOOOWHEEE!

I just don't dig " campy"
This looks like a bad Saturday morning cartoon. I'll be passing..... Just,... It's rediculous this was green lit

Yeah, Allred's X-Force/X-Statix was sweet (I kinda want the omnibus)

Like I said, I love his Madman... and any Marvel/DC Silver Age throwback tale. Allred's Silver Age JLA and Avengers artwork is lovely!

I wouldn't mind him on this FF title if it was actually the Fantastic Four. But as is, based on the solicits, there's nothing that appeals to me. But you never know.

I love Allred too. Everytime I see single issues, I look for XStatix and Madman, since I doubt they'll ever be in TPB.

Hey Phil, both Madman and X-Statix are available in tpbs... and Omnibus!
