ON MY SHELF....

I was digging through ye ole closet in search of Halloween Decorations (yay!) and stumbled upon my ever-so sweet [McGUINESS] AQUAMAN and SPIDER-MAN 2099 (yay-yay!). So I threw em on the bookshelf for some added fresh geekery to my homestead... for the time being. It's good to rotate your treasures.

Is that the dark visage of Darth Vader in the background?

You know what my issue is with McGuiness figures?
Such drawings don't need that kind of articulation, they need the statue of a figure in crazy dynamic pose cut up to add movement like the Ninja Turtle toys.
Write mean blogs to DC and make them fix it !
Still...Aquaman and Spidey 2099 are totally rad so I tres approve of this blog.

Awesome !!

I hate that Spidey 2099. Not too fond of the original KB exclusive as well, which I have. The new MU Spidey 2099 looks perfect, too bad it's not a 6" figure.

whoa, you hate this figure?
I really dig it...

but yes, the new MU fig looks great!

Jim, I think the problem is with it's metalic paint. That entire series had it and it was gimmicky. It also has the worse articulation for a spider-man figure ever... not to mention it isn't accurate. Ya, I hate everything about it!

I don't think mine has a metallic paint finish... looks pretty flat. I wonder if there's 2 versions out there?

I don't mind the lack of articulation because my plan was to just set it on my shelf or desk at work.

The accuracy... yeah, true.

For me, its the best Spidey 2099 figure released so far... which what, only 2 released (not counting the upcoming MU version).

yeah, i wish that MU figure was 6" too!

The best Spider-Man 2099 figure ever is the Heroclix one...
