Saw IRON MAIDEN last night at The Forum! They are on their "SOMEWHERE ON TOUR" (aka "thank you, fans!" tour), where they revisit the glory days of the '80s. They're playing tunes primarily from the Powerslave era, including set design and feel. It was fucking awesome to say the least!!! We were in the pit, about 6-people back from the stage! They played all the greats; Aces High, 2 Minutes to Midnight, Revelations, The Trooper, Wasted Years, The Number of the Beast, Run to the Hills, Powerslave, etc... and they played RIME OF THE ANCIENT MARINER for the first time since their POWERSLAVE tour in '84/85!! They're coming back to LA in May with the full-on awesome stage show! Can't wait!!! More pics coming soon....
