APOCALYPSE'S DESCENDANTS ? ?

Attn: X-Men readers....
Did anyone read Apocalypse/Dracula? Did anyone else pick up on the hints that both CHAMBER and BLINK are descendants of Apocalypse? WTF? (yes, Dracula.... don't start).

ddmorri, on the new Marvel Message Boards brought it to my attention. He writes:
The series is narrated by Ozymandias starts out in Romania in 1459 where Vlad Dracula is defeated by Apocalypse's Riders of the Dark and then shifts to London in 1897. Dracula has been killing Apocalypses clan of descendants. One of the inspectors on the case is Jack Starsmore, who happens to also be a descendant of Apocalypse. Dracula eventually turns the majority of Jack's clan and Apocalypse and a rag tag band of "heroes" (which include Jack, Professor Van Helsing, Ozymandias and the believed lame Fredrick Hamilton brother of the leader of the clan) have to defeat Dracula and Jack's clan.

Besides the surname link (which, being a Gen X fan, imediately brought to mind Jonothon Starmore or Chamber), Jack's power is to breath fire (which bears some resemblance to Chambers powers) and at the end of the series Jack makes a comment about a Starsmore never ending up in "the New World". To this, Ozymandias (in the present) says: [quote]"Time would prove Jack's assertions incorrect". This led me to draw the conclusion that Chamber was a descendant of Jack Starsmore and thus also a descendant of Apocalypse.

As for Blink, Fredrick Hamilton, who has pink hair a totally green eyes, has the ability to teleport (which is dipicted a as a pink energy Blink!). Also at the end of the series Ozymandias leads a young woman (whom I assume was a hooker) to Fredrick's room to mate with him. Ozymandias calls this woman, Miss Ferguson. This lead me to conclude that Clarice Ferguson a.k.a. Blink is also a descendant of Apocalypse.
First off, I think this, if true, is bullshit and completely unnecessary. For one, its yet another example of the ever growing trend by Marvel writers to retcon X-Men history so everyone is connected. Ugh. Secondly, it brings up the question, in the 1st Age of Apocalypse, why was Apocalypse holding Blink in a cell to be culled? All his other children are placed in high ranking positions, why kill her? Anyway, I totally missed the "clues" when I read the series and found ddmorri's post interesting.

I didn't read it. However, I have heard those rumors, and that they're using that to give some of the mutants that lost their powers in House of M, like Chamber, their powers back.

Oh SURE Joe Q, you won't put the genie back in the bottle. Right. Next we'll find out it was actually a Spider-man clone that was unmasked in Civil War #2.
